SOYA PEAS PULAO




Today’s recipe is a delicious pulao recipe that is healthy and easy to make. Soya peas pulao can be served with Gobi Manchurian, Murgh malai mutter or any gravy of your choice.


Ingredients

2 cups rice washed and soaked in water for half an hour
½ cup peas
1 cup soya chunks cooked
3 tbsp oil
1 onion thinly sliced
1 cardamom
1 cinnamon
1 tbsp ginger garlic paste
1 green chilli thinly sliced
1 tsp lemon juice
Salt to taste
Coriander leaves and tomato rose for garnishing

Method
  • Cook the soya chunks according to the instructions in the packet and keep ready.
  • Heat oil in a pan, add cardamom, cinnamon and onions and cook till onions turn golden.
  • Next add in chopped green chillies, ginger garlic paste and cook till the raw smell goes.
  • Add peas, soya chunks, drained rice, salt and 4 1/2 cups water and mix well.
  • Finally add lemon juice and close the lid of the cooker.
  • Pressure cook for 3 whistles.
  • Garnish with tomato rose and coriander leaves and serve hot.
