This is a delicious and flavorful chicken gravy made using black pepper powder and garlic
cloves. The gravy goes well with both rice and chapati.
250 gms chicken washed and cut into pieces
2 tbsp oil
1 Big onion finely chopped
1 cardamom
1 cinnamon
1 cinnamon
2 tsp garlic paste
1 tsp ginger paste
1 tsp ginger paste
6 to 8 cloves of garlic
1 tsp cumin powder
1 tbsp black pepper powder
1 tbsp coriander powder
4 tomatoes pureed
¼ cup curd
½ tsp salt
Coriander and mint leaves chopped
juice of ¼ lemon
Method

Method
- Heat oil in a pressure cooker, add cardamom, cinnamon and the chopped onions, and saute for some time.
- Then add garlic paste and ginger paste and cook till the raw smell goes.
- Next add the tomatoes, pepper powder, coriander powder, cumin powder, and salt. Cook for a few minutes.
- When the oil starts separating, add the chicken pieces, garlic cloves, and curd. Mix well so that there are no lumps in the gravy.
- Finally add coriander and mint leaves, 2 cups of water and stir well.
- Close the lid and pressure cook for 10 minutes.
- Then remove the lid, and add lemon juice and bring to a boil. Cook till the gravy thickens.
- Garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot with rice or chapati.
