Mother's day is round the corner, so I am taking this as an opportunity to share a poem that I have written for my Ammi. Thank you so much Ammi for filling our lives with lots of happiness, peace and laughter. Wishing You and all mothers a very Happy Mother's day.
A short poem dedicated to my ammi
Khuda mujh par
zaroor meherban hua hoga
Tabhi toh usne mujhe
Aapke paas bheja hoga
Aap jaisi beti, aap jaisi biwi,
aap jaisi ammi, ek saath
Is duniya mein
Doosri koi nahin
Aapki ek muskurahat
Poore ghar ko roshan karti hai
Aapki har baat
dil ko chu jaati hai.
Mujhe ek saheli ki zaroorath
Kabhi nahin padi
Kyonki meri sabse achchi saheli
Mujhe aap mein mili
Har mushkil ko aapne
Pal bhar mein aasan kiya hai
Har dard ko aapne
Chutki mein mitaya hai
Aapke pyar ne
Aapki duaaon ne
Hum sabki zindagi ko
Khushiyon se bhar diya hai
Khuda kare ki aap jiyen
Hazaaron saal
Poore sehath
Aur taakath ke saath
Dard aapko
chu bhi na paaye
Aur har takleef
Yun gum ho jaaye
Poori ho aapke dil ki
Har tamanna, har armaan
Aur har din laaye aapki zindagi mein
Khushi aur aaraam.
