Oats have several health benefits and it is imperative that we include it in our diet. Today's recipe of Oats milk porridge is an ideal breakfast option as it gets done in just about 10 minutes while giving the necessary nutrients to the body. I have used nuts in this recipe, but you can add chopped apples, bananas, strawberries or any other fruit of your choice.

Serves: 4

2 cups oats
3 cups milk
3 cups water
4 heaped tbsp chopped nuts (almonds, cashews and walnuts)
6 tsp sugar
chopped cherries and nuts for garnish

  • Take oats, milk, water and sugar in a pan and bring to a boil.
  • Cook for about 5 minutes while stirring continuously till the oats turn soft.
  • Add the chopped nuts and mix well.
  • Switch off the gas and transfer the porridge to bowls. 
  • Garnish with chopped cherries and nuts and serve hot.
