FROCK PATTERNS/ LONG FROCK

A long frock is a frock that has frock length till the ankle or a few inches below the ankle. This is an ideal dress for kids to wear during summers as they are roomy, comfortable and allow air to circulate. Here I have used 2 different patterns of cotton fabrics to bring look and contrast to the frock.

This frock that I stitched for my 3 year old, requires 1/2 metre cloth for the upper part and 1 metre of cloth for the lower part.

I pleated the lower portion of the frock with basic one directional pleats.

I took a small square piece of cloth and covered a plain flat button completely with it and stitched it in place with needle and thread. I then stitched this matching button near the neck of the frock.

Plain sleeves with matching facing piece stitched at the sleeve ends.

Zip stitched at the back.

I also stitched a matching head band with the remaining cloth. A tutorial on how to make a headband will follow soon.
