DIY CARDBOARD CUPBOARD + VIDEO

Hi friends, welcome back to my blog. Wish you all a very Happy New Year. The year 2020 was difficult for all of us as we were amidst a pandemic. Let's hope and pray that we come out of this situation and are able to lead a normal life again.

Today, I am going to share a craft tutorial of a Cardboard Cupboard that I made recently for my daughter. I am also attaching a video below so that it is easy for you all to understand and try. This cupboard can be used to keep clothes, toys, books, stationery, School bag, etc.

I made this Cardboard cabinet using a thick Cardboard box. I have included all the measurements and things needed to make the cardboard cupboard below.

Things needed

Large and Strong Cardboard box
Cardboard cutter
Ruler
Scissors
Fevicol, Fevibond or any other strong adhesive
Self adhesive sheet for covering the cardboard
Magnet buttons
Handle with screws
Lots of patience :)

Measurements

2 long pieces =31 cm x 88 cm
1 wide piece with fold = 62.5 cm x 88 cm
2 squares for top and bottom of cupboard = 31.5 cm x 31.5 cm
4 pieces for shelf = 30.5 cm x 30 cm
2 medium pieces = 30 cm x 48 cm
4 small pieces = 30 cm x 17.5 cm
2 pieces for strengthening top and bottom of cupboard = 29.5 cm x 30 cm

Method

  • First take the wide piece with fold and glue the other 2 long pieces along with 31.5 cm squares to make the outer part of the cupboard
  • Take 2 pieces of the shelves and glue them together to make a strong piece. Cover with self adhesive sheet.
  • In the same way make another shelf piece.
  • Then glue the medium pieces on either side at the lower part of the cupboard.
  • Glue one shelf piece in the middle and glue the 2 small pieces on the sides of the cupboard.
  • Glue another shelf piece in the middle and glue the other 2 small pieces on either sides of the cupboard.
  • Take the 2 29.5 cm x 30 cm pieces and glue them to the upper and lower part of the cupboard to give it some strength.
  • Cover the entire cupboard with self adhesive paper or wrapping paper.
  • Now attach the magnet buttons in the centre and lower part of the cupboard.
  • Mark and use screws to place the handle in the center of the cupboard.
  • Our DIY Cardboard Cupboard is ready.
