OMELET IN A BREAD HOLE

Hi all, welcome back to my blog. Today I am going to share a bread and egg recipe that is delicious and easy to prepare. Here we are going to cut out the inner part of a bread slice to make a hole and then fill it with omelet, veggies and cheese.

You can serve Omelet in a bread hole for breakfast, or as a snack or pack this in your kids tiffin box. I also served this as a snack for Iftar and everyone at home simply loved it. This recipe uses very few ingredients and tastes amazing.

Ingredients

4 slices bread
2 eggs
1 onion finely chopped
1/2 capsicum finely chopped
1/2 tsp salt (or to taste)
1/2 tsp pepper powder (or to taste)
Handful of chopped coriander leaves
Oil as needed
1/2 cup grated cheese

Method

  • Take the bread slices and cut out a small square in the middle. Keep ready.
  • Crack open the eggs in a bowl. Beat well, add salt and pepper to taste and then add onions, capsicums and coriander leaves. Mix everything well and keep ready.
  • Heat oil in a pan, and place 2 bread outer rings in it.

Omelet in bread hole

  • Pour 1/4th of the egg mix in each hole and sprinkle cheese on top.
  • Place the bread pieces that we have cut out on top and press gently.
  • Once the lower part is cooked, turn it over and cook on the other side.
  • Transfer the Omelet in a bread hole to serving platter.
  • In the same way make more Omelet in bread holes, cut each piece into 2 and serve hot with ketchup.
