EASY MEALS FOR 7 MONTH + OLD BABIES

Hi friends, welcome back to another blog post. Hope you all are doing good. My younger daughter has completed her first birthday and slowly I have started getting some time for myself.

Today's post has been lying in my draft for the past few months as I could not take time out to complete it. In this post, I am going to share some meal plans that I made for my second daughter once she completed her 7 month mark.

You might ask, why I didnt start introducing solids to her from 6 months. The answer is I did start semi solids but went very slow, as I didnt want to take any risk.

She was exclusively breastfed for the first 6 months. I didnt give her any other milk or solid food at that time. This has helped her a lot. By God's grace she is healthy and has a normal body weight. She even started walking with in a few days after completing her first birthday. The benefits of breast feeding your baby are plenty.

So once she completed 6 months, I introduced only cooked and mashed rice in very small quantity. This I continued for 3 days and since there was no allergy or reaction I continued this. But when I introduced other food like mashed vegetables and fruits, she developed diaper rash, which she hadn't got all these days. So I went slow and stopped solids for a few days. Then started introducing fruit purees again little by little one at a time.

I also gave her Cerelac. And many might agree or disagree with me on this, Cerelac has never caused any allergy or reaction on her. Even now when I travel, I take Cerelac with me as it is nutritious, instant and easy to make food for your baby. You need not have to completely depend on it, or completely stop it. I feed Cerelac to her once a day and especially on those days  when she is cranky and refuses other food.

By this time, she had completed 7 months and slowly her digestive system started accepting the semi solid food that I gave her. So here I have compiled a list of meal ideas that you too can give your baby. But always follow the rules i.e
  • Introduce one food at a time for 3 days.
  • Monitor your child and note if she gets any allergy or reaction.
  • If the food does not suit the baby, stop it for sometime. Try some other food.
  • Do not give the baby salt and sugar till they complete 1 year.
