Hi guys, welcome back to my blog. Today I am going to share with you a very simple and easy DIY. Yes, I am going to share with you the tutorial of making a Photo frame using Carboard along with a video. You can see from the looks of it, how amazing and pretty it looks. This DIY photo frame will add an elegant touch to your side table or corner table.
You just need a waste cardboard and a few things to make this beautiful Photo frame. Here I have kept it plain and simple. If you want, you can decorate the Photo frame with Paper Flowers, sequins, lace, ribbons or any other decorative item of your choice.
This gorgeous photo frame is ideal for gifting as well. And you can also add personalized messages or writeups for your friends.
So, lets get started!
Things needed
Cardboard
Ruler
Fevicol
3 black Color Papers
1 grey color paper
Scissors
Method
First cut out the cardboard pieces using size below. I have taken a photograph of 12.5 cm x 9 cm. You can adjust the size of the pieces according to the size of your photograph.
2 cardboard pieces of size 18 cm x 15 cm
2 side pieces -11 cm x 2 cm
1 bottom piece - 17 cm x 2 cm
For the holder, cardboard piece of size 24 cm x 5 cm
- First take a 18 cm x 15 cm cardboard piece and place the photograph in the middle.
- Draw an outline.
- Mark 1/2 cm inside from the outline and draw an inner rectangle.
- Use a sharp paper knife to cut on the inner rectangle.
- You will now get the front part of the photo frame.
- Now cover the front side with black color paper.
- At the back, apply glue on the sides and lower part and stick the side pieces and the bottom piece.
- Cover the back side with color paper as well.
- Now take the other 18 cm x 15 cm cardboard piece and cover with grey color on front and black at the back.
- Once done, glue the front and back pieces of the photo frame together.
- For the holder, take the 24 cm x 5 cm cardboard piece and cover with black color paper.
- Fold 6 cm from the bottom and again fold 6 cm and glue the end to the piece, making a triangle. Once done, apply glue and stick the holder to the photo frame as shown.
- Our DIY photo frame is ready.
