BEST CAULIFLOWER CURRY

Hi friends, welcome back to my blog. Today I am sharing a super tasty and super easy Cauliflower curry recipe that is one of my family's favorite curries.

This cauliflower curry needs few ingredients and tastes amazing. You can serve this Cauliflower curry with Chapati or dosa or also as a side dish with Cooked rice and sambar.

Here I have used Roasted gram powder (phutane ka powder) to thicken the gravy and give it a wonderful taste. You can also replace it with gram flour (besan).

Now, let's move on to the recipe of making Cauliflower curry.

Serves:4
Ingredients

1 large cauliflower cut into florets
4 tbsp oil
1/2 tsp cumin seeds
1/4 tsp fennel seeds
1 large onion finely sliced
1 and 1/2 tbsp ginger garlic paste
3 medium size tomatoes pureed
3 tbsp curd
1 and 1/2 tbsp Roasted gram powder/ Gram flour
1 and 1/2 tsp coriander powder
1 and 1/2 tsp red chilli powder (or to taste)

Handful of coriander leaves

Method

  • Take the cauliflower florets in sufficient water. Add 1/4 tsp turmeric powder and 1/2 tsp salt and boil for 5 minutes.
  • Strain away the water using a strainer and keep the cauliflower florets ready.
  • Then heat oil in a thick bottomed pan or kadai and add cumin and fennel seeds.
  • Allow the seeds to sputter and then add sliced onions.

  • Now add tomato puree and cook for a few minutes in medium to low flame till oil starts separating.
  • Then add curd and mix well.
  • Add 2 cups water and bring the curry to a boil.
  • Add the cauliflower florets and boil the curry for a minute.
  • Then close a lid, reduce flame and cook for 5 to 10 minutes.
  • Check if the cauliflower is well cooked and switch off the gas.
  • Garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot.
