Winter has just started and most of us prefer eating crunchy and
delicious snacks along with tea in the evenings. So this recipe is specially
meant for people who like snacks. These fritters are made with tomatoes and
capsicums and both give a great flavour and taste to the fritters.
Ingredients
For the batter
1 cup besan (gram flour)
½ capsicum thinly sliced
1/4 cup cucumber finely chopped
1 large tomato deseeded and thinly sliced
1 tsp red chilli powder
1 tsp pav bhaji masala
Salt to taste
1 tsp cumin powder
1/8 tsp soda
2 tbsp Chopped coriander leaves
Water
oil for frying
Method
- Take all the ingredients in a bowl except oil and add water little by little to form a thick batter.
- Check for taste and adjust salt or chilli powder if necessary.
- Heat oil in a pan and when oil is hot, add a few drops of batter to it. When it comes directly to the surface, then oil is ready.
- Now take the batter little by little with a spoon and gently drop into hot oil.
- Deep fry the fritters till golden brown in colour.
- Transfer to a tissue paper to remove excess oil and serve hot with tomato sauce or pudina chutney.
