Fish is a rich source of proteins and Omega 3 fatty acids which  are very good for the body. It is low in fat and is also rich in calcium and minerals. Hence it is recommended over other meats like lamb and chicken meat which contain fats. Here in this post I am sharing a collection of easy to cook and delicious recipes made with fish. This is a simple and delicious recipe of fish curry using very few ingredients. The dish gets done in just about 15 minutes and can be served with rice and appam/ pappad.

Fish fry is a regular dish at home and we often make variations to it to get a new taste. We added tomato sauce and a few spices to the fish this time and the taste was simply awesome. 

I have given here a recipe to make fish curry in a base of poppy seeds, onions and tomatoes. The list of ingredients is quite long, but the curry gets done really fast and tastes delicious.

Fried fish curry is a delicious and easy to make curry that tastes best with plain white rice. The fish slices are first fried in oil and then served with spicy onion and tomato based curry.

Grilled fish on a tava gets cooked in less than 10 minutes, uses minimal oil (hence is healthier than deep fried fish) and tastes delicious.

This is yet another delicacy from my mother. The taste of garlic lingers in the mouth and the gravy on the whole tastes delicious.

Fish fry with rice and Dal is popular in several south Indian homes. Given below is a simple recipe to make delicious fish fry with minimum ingredients and in very little time.

Here I have used an oven/otg to grill the fish slices. The fish absorbs all the masalas, get cooked in very little oil and tastes delicious.

Chettinad cuisine is known for its delicious taste and flavourful spices used. Given below is the recipe of fish curry made in chettinad style.
