Today, I am going to share another healthy and delicious breakfast recipe that is apt for kids. This wheat and egg dosa is my daughter's favourite and you can get this dosa ready in just 10 minutes. These Wheat and Egg dosas are my first choice when I have to whip up something yummy and quick for breakfast. This wheat and Egg dosa tastes great with groundnut chutney and Toor dal curry.. You can increase the proportion of ingredients to make more Wheat and Egg dosas.


1 cup wheat flour
1 egg
1/4 tsp ginger paste
1/2 tsp salt (or to taste)
1/4 tsp pepper powder
water as needed
2 tbsp finely chopped coriander leaves
Oil for cooking the dosas


  • Beat Egg in a bowl.
  • Add salt,pepper powder, ginger paste and coriander leaves and whisk well.
  • Add wheat flour and 1/4 cup water and mix well to form a smooth batter.
  • Add more water if needed.
  • If you keep the batter thin, you will get more crispy dosas.
  • Heat a tava/ skillet and grease with oil evenly.
  • Add a ladle of Wheat and Egg dosa to the tava and spread in circular motion.
  • Cook in medium to high flame and when you see sharp edges, you can flip the dosa and cook on the other side for a minute.
  • When the dosa is cooked , transfer to a plate. 
  • In the same way, make more dosas.
  • Serve these yummy Wheat and Egg dosas with groundnut chutney and Toor dal curry.

    1. This indeed is very easy and yummy... and the good thing is that this dosa does not stick to the pan as it has egg in it...

  2. Though I am a 100% vegetarian person, I have many friends who are non vegetarians. They would love to make this healthy variety of the dosa. DEfinitely will share it with them.
