Hi friends, today I am sharing recipe of Ragi dosa that is healthy and delicious. Ragi Flour is good for health  and so during the past few months, I have taken a conscious effort to include more Ragi/ Finger millet flour in our diet. Do try out this delicious and quick Ragi dosa for breakfast or brunch..

Ragi Chapathi/ Roti
Ragi malt
Ragi Vermicelli
Ragi cookies

for making Instant Ragi Dosa


3/4 cup ragi flour/ Finger millet flour
2 tbsp semolina (sooji)
1/4 cup rice flour
1/2 cup curd
1 onion finely chopped (optional)
1/2 tsp ginger paste
finely chopped coriander leaves
1 tsp green chilli sauce
water as needed
1/2 tsp salt (or to taste)
Oil for cooking the dosa


  • Take ragi flour, semolina, rice flour, salt, green chilli sauce, ginger paste, coriander leaves and curd in a bowl.
  • Whisk well and then add water little by little to form a thin batter.
  • Heat a tava/ skillet and grease it well with oil.
  • Sprinkle chopped onions on the tava. (This step is optional)
  • Pour a ladle of the batter, spread evenly and reduce flame to medium.
  • Close a lid and cook for sometime.
  • If the dosa has turned crisp on the edges, turn it to the other side and cook for a minute or two.
  • Once the Ragi dosa is well cooked on both sides, transfer the Ragi dosa to a plate. 
  • In the same way make more Ragi dosas.
  • Serve Ragi dosas hot with Chicken khurma or Potato curry.
