Hi all, today I am sharing the recipe of making Falooda Ice cream just like the way we get in restaurants. Falooda ice cream is a delicious and refreshing dessert which is loaded with fruits, dry fruits, sabja seeds, vermicelli, milk, rose syrup and ice cream.
We can make Falooda ice cream in different ways. I have already shared the recipe of making the base of Rose Falooda HERE. Once the basic Falooda is ready, we can assemble it along with chopped fruits and nuts, sabja seeds, ice cream and rose syrup.
In this recipe, I have used Baker's Mango flavored Falooda mix to make the Falooda. You can also try Rose and other flavors too. Once the falooda is ready, we have to cool it down and refrigerate it for at least 2 hours. Then we can assemble the Falooda ice cream with the remaining ingredients.
For all flavors whether it is Rose flavor or Butter scotch flavor, just replace Mango ice cream with Strawberry or Butter scotch ice cream. All other ingredients are the same. And for making Royal falooda, we can use Mango, Strawberry and Pista ice cream with Rose flavor falooda mix.
So, lets' move on to the recipe of making Falooda ice cream at home
Ingredients
1 litre milk
1 packet/ 200 gms Baker's Falooda mix
Sugar as needed
Mango flavored ice cream
2 tsp sabja seeds/ tukmaria seeds
1 cup chopped fruits (pineapple, apple, papaya, chikoo, musk melon)
1/2 cup finely chopped Almonds, cashews, and pistachios
Rose syrup or Roohafza
- Boil milk in a pan, then reduce heat and add the Falooda mix powder.
- Mix well and cook for about 10 minutes while stirring in medium flame.
- The milk will start thickening and vermicelli will get cooked.
- You can check for taste, and add sugar if needed.
- Switch off the gas and allow it to cool down.
- Then refrigerate the Falooda mix for at least 2 hours.
- Meanwhile soak the sabja seeds in 1 cup water and set aside for 2 hours. The seeds will increase in volume.
- Then wash, peel and chop the fruits and dry fruits and keep all other ingredients ready.
- Then take 6 long glasses, pour a small ladle of chilled Falooda mix into each glass.
- Top it with cut fruits, then rose syrup, then mango ice cream and dry fruits.
- Then again layer with falooda mix, cut fruits, rose syrup, dry fruits and finally top it with a scoop of ice cream and cherry.
- Serve.
