Fish fry is a regular dish at home and we often make
variations to it to get a new taste. We added tomato sauce and a few spices to the fish this time and the taste was simply awesome. Sharing the recipe here, I am sure my readers will like it.
Ingredients
8 slices of Seer fish/ vajram
1 tsp turmeric powder
3 tbsp red chilli powder
1 tsp Salt
1 tsp ginger garlic paste
½ lemon
1 tbsp tomato ketchup
Oil for shallow frying
Chopped coriander leaves for garnishing
Method
- Wash and clean the fish slices with water and turmeric powder and keep ready.
- Add red chilli powder, salt, tomato sauce, ginger garlic paste and lemon juice to a bowl and mix to form a paste.Check for taste, add salt if necessary.
- Take the fish slices one by one and coat both the sides with the masala mix.
- Allow the fish slices to marinate for 3 to 4 hours.
- Heat oil in a tava, and shallow fry the fish slices till they are cooked on both sides.
- Serve hot with plain rice or biryani. You can also have it as an appetizer.
