BHEJA MASALA GRAVY/ GOAT BRAIN FRY DRY

 

Hi friends, welcome to my blog. Today I am sharing the recipe of delicious and spicy Goat brain fry that gets cooked in less than 30 minutes. This recipe of Goat brain gravy or Bheja masala requires very ingredients and tastes amazing.

Goat brain gravy is usually served hot with Roti, Paratha or Naan. Do try out this recipe when you want to taste non vegetarian fare that is different, delicious and yet simple. You can use the same recipe when making Bheja masala using Beef. Just reduce the number of Brains to 2.

Ingredients

4 goat brain cleaned and washed well with water
4 tbsp oil
1 tbsp ginger garlic paste
1 onion finely sliced
1 and 1/2 tsp black pepper powder (or to taste)
1 tsp salt (or to taste)
1 tsp lime juice
Handful of coriander leaves chopped


Method

  • Heat oil in a non stick pan, add onions and saute for a few minutes till onion turns golden brown.
  • Then add ginger garlic paste and saute for a couple of minutes till the raw smell goes.
  • Next add pepper powder, lemon juice and salt and mix well.
  • Add the Bheja/ Goat brain and mix the Bheja gently with the masalas.
  • Reduce heat to low and add coriander leaves.
  • Close a lid and let it cook in low flame for about 10 to 15 minutes.
  • Open the lid, and check if the Goat brain is cooked. (Usually Goat brain/Bheja gets cooked quickly) 
  • If not cook for some more time in low flame while stirring in between.
  • Check for taste, and add salt or pepper powder if necessary.
  • Switch off the gas and transfer the gravy to a serving bowl.
  • Serve hot with Chapathi, Paratha or Naan.
