CHICKEN MANCHURIAN GRAVY STREET STYLE


Continuing with the Street style recipe series, today I am sharing the recipe of Chicken Manchurian gravy. This manchurian gravy tastes amazing and can be cooked in just half an hour. Chicken Manchurian gravy tastes best when served with Veg Fried rice or Chicken Fried rice.

So lets move on to the ingredients needed and the recipe of making Chicken Manchurian gravy.

Ingredient

For frying the chicken

300 gms boneless Chicken cut into pieces
1 tsp ginger garlic paste
2 tbsp corn flour
2 tbsp all purpose flour/ maida
1/2 tsp red chilli powder (or to taste)
1 tbsp soya sauce
1/2 tsp salt (or to taste)
2 tsp vinegar
Oil for frying

For the sauce

4 tbsp oil
1 large onion finely chopped
2 green chillies
1/2 capsicum finely chopped
1 tsp garlic finely chopped 
1 tsp ginger finely chopped
½ tsp salt (or to taste)
1/2 tsp sugar
½ tsp pepper powder
1 tbsp soya sauce
1 tsp green chilli sauce
2 tbsp tomato sauce
1 tbsp vinegar
1 tbsp corn flour 
1 cup water
Chopped coriander leaves
Spring onion greens finely chopped

Method
  • Take chicken pieces in a bowl.
  • Add red chilli powder, ginger garlic paste, vinegar, soya sauce, corn flour, salt and maida and mix well.
  • Close a lid and set aside for 15 to 20 minutes.
  • Then heat oil in a pan or kadai and when oil is hot, add the chicken pieces and fry them in medium to low flame till they are golden brown in colour.
  • Carefully transfer to an absorbent paper on a plate and keep ready.
  • For preparing the sauce, heat oil in a pan.
  • Add onions and fry in high fame till they turn golden.
  • Then add garlic and ginger and sauté for a minute.
  • Next add green chilies and capsicums and stir fry for a minute.
  • Then salt and pepper powder, soya sauce, vinegar, green chili sauce and tomato sauce and mix well.
  • Cook for a couple of minutes in low flame.
  • Add coriander leaves, spring onion greens and corn flour dissolved in 1 cup water and bring to a boil.
  • Finally add the fried Chicken pieces and mix well.
  • Cook in low flame for a couple of minutes and switch off the gas.
  • Transfer to a serving bowl and serve hot with PaellaFried rice or Noodles.
