Hi friends, welcome back to my blog. Today I am going to share some basic types of neck designs that are easy and ideal for beginners. You can also draw the pattern on a draft paper, cut it and then place over the fabric for a more precise and neat neck design.

HOW TO CUT AND STITCH DIFFERENT TYPES OF SLEEVES

HOW TO STITCH FULL FLARE UMBRELLA CUT SKIRT




A full flare umbrella skirt is a skirt which opens into a full circle when you spin. It is usually stitched with thin, soft and light weight fabrics as it has volume. A full flare umbrella cut skirt requires about 3 and 1/2 metres of cloth. The method of cutting and stitching a full flare umbrella cut skirt is discussed here.

Half flare Umbrella style skirts and anarkalis are in vogue now. Not only are they attractive but also comfortable to wear and less bulky compared to full umbrella style dresses. In this tutorial I would be discussing the method of cutting the cloth in half flare umbrella style. You can use this tutorial to stitch either a frock, skirt or an anarkali suit.

Pajama pants are one of the most comfortable pants that are ideal to wear at night. They are usually made of soft cotton or jersey fabrics. The construction and method of stitching a pajama pant can be found here. Pajama pants require about 2 ½ metres of cloth and are usually stitched with non transparent materials. BABY SALWAR KAMEEZ




It is always difficult to find a proper sized readymade salwar kameez for young kids. I searched several stores to buy a good one for my one and half year old daughter, but most salwar kameez sizes started from 2 years up and hence I could not find a right one for her. So I decided to make a salwar kameez using her measurements.


BABY FROCK DESIGN 3



I made this red and black sleeveless cotton frock for my one and half year old baby. The frock is cut in waist fullness style and the lower part is pleated at the waist. Piping has been done using black colour fabric at the neck and arm holes.

BABY FROCK DESIGN 2




This two toned frock is stitched using cotton silk fabric and has panels below the waist. Piping is done at the neck and sleeves and a lace with chamkis is stitched at the waist. 

PRESSED PURNI EMBROIDERY DESIGNS




Pressed purni is often used in embroidery. This type of purni stays in place for a long time and does not come out easily as regular purni. In this post I am sharing a few embroidery designs using pressed purni, thread work, chamki and moti.


SALWAR KAMEEZ DESIGN 1





This knee length kameez is cut in A line fashion and has short sleeves. The thing that makes this kameez unique is the cut on one side that starts near the hip and goes all the way till the bottom of the dress. 

EMBROIDERED KURTI DESIGN 1





 This blue colour kurti is stitched using satin fabric and net material. Embroidery is done near the neck area using moti, purni, stones and velvet fabric.

ANARKALI DESIGN - 2





This exquisite full length violet colour anarkali suit is the latest addition to my wardrobe. The anarkali suit is made using net material and has a full flare design with several kallis from top to bottom.
