EGGLESS BANANA AND CHOCOLATE CHIP CAKE/ HOW TO MAKE EGGLESS BANANA CAKE

 



Hi friends, welcome to my blog. Today I am sharing the recipe of simple and one bowl Banana and Chocolate chip cake. Yes this is an Eggless cake recipe and needs very few ingredients. If you love Bananas then I am sure you will like this cake. 



Banana cake is soft, spongy and delicious cake, and the addition of chocolate chips adds to the taste. Here I have used normal sized Bananas that were very ripe, so it was easy to mash using a fork. Also this recipe of Eggless banana and chocolate chip cake does not need a beater. We need just a whisk to mix the batter.

I tried making Banana and chocolate chip cake in my frying pan as well and it came out perfect. I will be sharing both ways of making the Banana and Chocolate chip cake using oven and without oven below. 

First let's move on to the recipe of making Eggless Banana and chocolate chip cake at home.

1 cup = 180 ml

Ingredients

1 cup plain flour/ maida
2 bananas mashed
1/2 cup powdered sugar
1 tsp vanilla essence
1 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp baking soda
1/4 cup milk + 1 tbsp
1/4 cup oil
1 small bar of chocolate chopped (I used Dairy milk chocolate)

Method

  • Remove the skin of the bananas and mash them well with a fork.
  • Add powdered sugar and vanilla essence and whisk well so that there are no lumps.
  • Add oil and whisk well.
  • Preheat oven for at least 10 minutes at 170 degree C.
  • Sieve together Flour, baking powder and baking soda twice and add them little by little to the wet ingredients.
  • Add milk and whisk everything together to make a smooth batter.
  • (You will get a slightly thick batter. Not very thick and not very thin.)
  • Finally add in 3/4th of the chocolate chips and whisk well.
  • Grease a square baking tin with oil and place a parchment paper/ butter paper on it and grease the bottom and sides with oil.
  • Pour the batter into the baking tray and add the remaining chocolate chips on top.



  • Place it in the central rack of the oven and bake at 170 degree C with only the lower rods On for 20 to 25 minutes or till a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  • Allow it to come to room temperature and demould the cake.
  • You can frost the cake with any Frosting of your choice or Cut and Serve the cake as a tea cake.



To make Eggless Banana and Chocolate chip cake without oven

You can also make this Eggless Banana and Chocolate chip cake without oven. For this take a non stick wide pan or pressure cooker and add 1 cup salt at the bottom. Spread salt evenly, close a lid and preheat it in low flame for 10 minutes.

Then place a ring/ stand at the centre and place the prepared cake pan with cake batter in it. Close a lid and cook in medium flame for 10 minutes, then reduce to low flame and cook for about 15 minutes or till a toothpick inserted comes out clean.

Allow the Eggless Banana cake to come to room temperature and demould the cake.You can frost the cake with any Frosting of your choice or cut and Serve the cake as a tea cake.

You can also store the cake in an airtight container and refrigerate for 3 to 4 days.
